Pregnancy:

  • I offer a free 30 minute initial consultation to answer any questions you may have and make sure we are a good fit.
  • To prepare for birth, you will be empowered with educational resources giving you a foundational understanding of the birthing process and the flow of labor.
  • Monthly prenatal visits (1-2 hours) deepen our connection and make sure you feel cared for. During these meetings we can discuss your hopes for your birthing experience and create a clear birth plan that will become a reference for you and your care providers.
  • We can create a postpartum plan that will outline how you would like your postpartum time to look and make plans ahead of time for the unexpected.
  • These visits are all about YOU. I am there for you for whatever you need, whether that is watching birth videos together, grocery shopping together, or supporting you in learning.
  • We can practice labor comfort measures to get you familiar with different tools you/we can use during the birth.
  • I am available to answer any questions you have and am happy to help you research anything I don’t already know or provide you with resources for finding that information.
  • I can provide basic nutrition counseling and support to grow a healthy infant.
  • I offer facilitation of a Baby and Mama blessing ceremony that can be done at your baby shower
  • I am on-call and available all hours starting at 38 weeks of your pregnancy.

Birth:

  • I am available for text, video chat, and phone support during early labor.
  • I offer physical, emotional and practical support during active labor at your home and or wherever you give birth. I or my back up doula will make every effort to attend your birth, but on rare occasions, this is impossible (usually due to rapid labor).
  • I offer care during the first 1-2 hours after birth.

Postpartum:

  • I offer 1-2 at home postpartum visits, where we can reflect on your birth experience and your relationship with your baby. I can provide basic breastfeeding support, and provide referrals.
  • I offer herbal blends for healing baths and vaginal steams

My name is Maggie and I am a birth doula! As a life-long resident in Western Massachusetts, I care deeply about the health and wellbeing of our community. My life's work has been to better the lives of others by making them feel seen, heard, supported, welcome and integrated into the larger community. I am currently pursuing an education as a midwife. I completed a DONA birth doula training in 2018 and I am a graduate of The Birth Warrior project, a 120 day doula training. I am currently in the process of a prenatal yoga teacher training through Birthing Mama.

I believe childbirth is a transformative event and that everyone deserves an empowering and supported birth experience. I believe women deserve to be witnessed, loved, held and supported in pregnancy, birth and postpartum.  I will empower and nurture you, creating a space for you to feel safe, respected, heard and honored at every step of your sacred journey.
?When I am not supporting women on their birth journey, I am coordinating and gardening with a local non profit that plants community fruit trees,  going for walks with my love and our dog, tending to our gardens and animals and jumping in rivers whenever it is warm enough out!
My great grandmother Rebecca who lived in Turkey and immigrated here when my grammy was born was a midwife, mother of five and spoke five languages. Though I never got to meet her, she is a big inspiration for me on my path to becoming a midwife and I honor the wisdom and courage in her.
