COVID-19 Update and Care Options
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I am also offering Virtual Doula Care for families birthing in hospitals with restrictive visitor policies. Contact me to learn more and for a no obligation interview.
I remain committed to making doula care accessible to as many families as possible, and I acknowledge that the pandemic is causing many to experience financial hardship and uncertainty. Please don’t hesitate to contact me for an interview if you need a sliding scale and/or payment plan for doula services. We can talk through these options and move forward with a rate that assures that you can receive high quality doula care at a rate that works for your family.
Birth Doula Care package includes:
Initial interview and consultation (free of charge) to talk with each other and decide if I am the right doula for you
Monthly prenatal visits throughout pregnancy until week 36, and weekly visits from 36 weeks until your birth. We will have time to talk about options and choices in birth, your anticipated needs and desires for support, practical coping strategies for your labor, self-advocacy and communication with your care providers, resources tailored to your needs and interests, and whatever else is on your mind regarding your upcoming birth
24/7 on-call availability beginning when you hire me as your doula. In the very unlikely event that I am unable to attend your birth, a back-up doula will be available to attend
Early labor support via phone, video, and/or in your home
Continuous active labor support at home, hospital, or birth center
Immediate postpartum care at your place of birth (can include support establishing breastfeeding, bottle feeding support, photography of the first moments with your baby, and getting you settled for your first rest after birth)
