I am changing careers to become a nurse and eventually a midwife, and am currently in nursing school. I am recently certified through Warm Welcome Birth and have worked with several clients as a birth doula. I bring decades of experience in the social service, education, and social justice fields, and am passionate about birther-centered care, and reproductive and birthing justice and equity. I am open-minded and am a sensitive listener and communicator. I also have two young children of my own.

I am fully vaccinated for COVID-19 as of March 2021.

I look forward to connecting with you!

Client testimonial:

"[We] are just beyond words at how deeply grateful we are for you and your strength, support and encouragement during my birth.  As [my partner] put it,  "Ali was epic, just completely epic".   I can't even think about all your support without crying.  There is so much with the birthing experience to still process through for me yet I can say I felt supported by everyone, but especially you.  It felt like amidst all the chaotic emotions and things going on during labor I had one person that shared a secret language with me even though I wasn't able to verbalize back most of the time.  With the breathing, the affirmations and encouragement and hip squeezes and the hydration, all felt like such an internal process that was happening and you were tapping into that.  Really you are such a champion!

I am also very grateful for the notes you wrote and was surprised to see some of the play by play.  I can't say I was aware of all of that!

I will cherish these pictures and videos for a lifetime and it is amazing and really wild to see a different perspective of what was going on.  I am so thankful to have pictures of my girl as she is welcomed to the world."
