My name is Alina Miglietta. I am originally from New York State, and moved to Massachusetts after studying at Hampshire College. I majored in Women's Studies and Theater. I am a graduate of Michelle L'Esperance's Doula Training workshop. I am currently working as a Phlebotomist at Valley Medical Group, am going to Greenfiels Community College to finishg up my Medical Assistance Certificate, and I’m eager to make doula work a vital part of my professional life.

I am passionate about empowering myself and others to stand together against sexual harassment, and assault, and to exercise our inherent reproductive rights without fear of judgement or legal restraints. I care deeply about what is happening in the world around me. I stay informed about crucial local and global issues. As a teenager in NYC, I participated in the Occupy Wall Street movement. As a Hampshire student I marched and rallied for campus reforms around labor, sexual violence and environmental issues and continue to be active in the current women’s movement.

My hobbies include horseback riding, theater arts, hiking, reading, cooking, and more!

I love socializing with friends and family and learning about new perspectives on life.

I believe that doula work is not only about support, but growth as well. As a doula, I am committed to growing as a skillful practitioner, an informed advisor, and a compassionate ally to birthers, partners and families as we co-create pathways to welcoming new life!
