  • My grandmother Rose was the midwife of her community. I joyfully offer fertility counseling, prenatal counseling, birth and postpartum support services for sliding scale or barter.
  • My services are affordable to you because I believe wholeheartedly in the gift economy.
  • I am often working with LGBTQIA and GNC parents, find deep joy in supporting gentle birth alongside indigenous/POC communities and have supported single parent birth journeys as well.
  • I believe the presence of children in our lives is an incredible gift, an opportunity for tremendous growth and healing, and it is a deep honor of mine to offer this work. To work with me, let's first set up a time to talk. I'd love to meet you, hear what's on your heart, and walk a little while together. Call or email to set up a time.
  • Fertility support: I offer Reiki, Hawaiian LomiLomi energy work, custom flower essence blends, nutritional, herbal and spiritual counseling to support your fertility journey.
  • Prenatal support: All of the above can be a part of strengthening your prenatal experience.  I also offer henna belly art and sacred journey blessing ceremony.
  • Postpartum support: I offer a rebozo ceremony for restoring postpartum vitality. I can also come for 3 hour visits to your home to listen, to clean, to cook, to hold the little one while you shower...let's talk!
  • Full spectrum services:  I have supported women through miscarriage and abortion, accompanying them to the clinic or visiting them at home to assist in their recovery.  I find my energy work training very helpful in this full-spectrum work; let's talk more about how I can assist you in this journey.

I come to this work in service to you and your baby.  It's an ever-evolving process and one that fills me with humility, wonder and curiosity.  I now offer my skills to help facilitate optimal nutrition, positioning, and energy flow to support birth and development.  I am a healer and nurturer and believe in the power of loving attention to call forth your own body's wisdom and healing energy.  The calling to birth support runs deep through my family line and brings me so much joy.

To give you a sense of my orientation towards birth, my favorite birth book is Sacred Birthing by Sunni Karll.  I've studied with Sister Morningstar, a Cherokee midwife. I love to offer medicine in the form of flower-infused honeys, flower essences and deep, intuitive listening to what your body seeks for balance—usually a combination of nutrition, herbal remedies, emotional release and movement recommendations will come from our time talking together.  I see my role as your birth keeper, creating a calm energy field so you can discern what is best for your body and your baby.

I attended Doula certification classes at BirthRoots in Portland, ME and Childbirth Education training in Northampton with Vicki Elson.  I regularly attend midwife and birth worker conferences, studying first at the Midwifery Today conference in 2014 and later at YoniFest in Quebec in 2017. There, I learned optimal fetal positioning with Gail Tully of Spinning Babies and rebozo massage for prenatal and closing of the bones ceremony for postpartum by Mexican midwives Angelina Martinez and Norma Emilia Escalante Betancourt, as well as homeopathic and flower essence remedies.  I was trained in Reiki by BethAnne Moonstone of Amherst Homebirth Midwifery I learned placenta encapsulation from Big Belly Services in Portland, OR.  I've also trained in Prenatal Yoga at Kripalu.  Prior to birth work, I studied herbal medicine with Corinna Wood of Red Moon Herbs and Emily Ruff at the Florida School of Holistic Living. I am a regular attendee at the Northeast Women's Herbal Conference, where I learned herbal birth support formulas, Mayan abdominal massage, flower and gem essence creation and belly henna art.

My first training as a healer was with Chetna Helen Lawless of Vision Voyages, where I learned ancient soul-healing techniques in the Celtic lineage to help myself and others discover our intuition and heal. Sometimes this training serves birthing families to help ascertain what is needed for balance and health. I consider it a deep honor to work with families in this way, and offer my services at a sliding scale or barter with the highest intention to serve joyfully.

Contact me to set up a time to talk to see if it feels right for all of us to continue moving forward together on this journey.
